I have a 3d model (obj or stl) and I would like to have it cut out in cross-section layers of cardboard or some other inexpensive material. Would you be able to translate my 3d model into the cross-sections necessary? Or would I need to provide those?

    • admin says:

      Hi Will,

I’d recommend downloading a free program called 123d Make, it will take a 3d model and slice it up according to your specifications and material, and lay it out on sheets ready to be laser cut. Thanks

Hello…i would like to have “Kiss the Cook” cut out of a 3/8″ piece of wood…or 1/4″

    about 14″ by 18″ …. Kiss

can i get a ball park before i give details.????

what is a file that you speak of? that you suggest sending?

    • admin says:

      Hi Marlene,

We can definitely cut something like that, we charge based on cutting time so if you can send a vector file (illustrator, autocad etc) of the design you want to use, I can get you a quick estimate. If you don’t have a vector file, you can send an image file and I can get you a rough estimate to get started. Thanks

I’m a Boys Scout getting ready for my Eagle Scout project. I need to know if can cut ceramic title. I need 50 stars cut in the size of 4×4 tiles to fix an United States flag
    You help is greatly appreciated

    • admin says:

      Hi Yusuf,

We actually cannot cut ceramic material with a laser, for ceramic, since it’s so good at absorbing heat, you should try waterjet cutting instead. Let us know if your material changes. Thanks

I’m looking to get some acrylic cut, can you also provide the sheets to be cut or do you know a (preferably local) supplier?

    • admin says:

      Hi Robin,

We have some materials in stock including acrylic, mdf, chipboard and PETG plastic and you are welcome to supply your own. Thanks

I was wondering if you are able to laser cut metal sheets? If possible, what types?

I’m considering a material thickness of about 1mm thick. Thanks!

    • admin says:

      Hi Sherry,

We do not work with metal, you might want to try a more industrial place like Precision Waterjet and Laser. Thanks

    Hi there,

What would be the quote to have 6 circles (6 inches wide each) but from 1/4 in wood? Thanks!

    1. I am interested in cutting small pieces from 1/4″ acrylic sheets. I am in Texas. Do I need to send you the material, or do you have stock on hand?

    2. Another material I would like cut is 1/8″ or 1/4″ baltic birch plywood. I would like to build something shown on this web site: The design may change slightly, so I will send you a different design file. Look like something you can do?

    • admin says:

      Hi Robert,

We can definitely cut 1/4″ acrylic. We stock 1/4″ acrylic or you can supply your own. That arm looks awesome, we can definitely cut 1/4″ ply to make something like that. Just send a vector file to or use the uploader on this page. Thanks

I was wondering if you can cut 1/32″ silicone rubber for a portfolio cover cover? The design is not set yet, but the from would be 8.5″ X 11″ with either a pattern or lettering on and the back just a blank 8.5″ X 11″ rectangle.

Thanks, and congrats on 5 stars on Yelp!

  9. What’s the thickest material you can handle, and what dimensions? I’m looking to have some parts cut out of 3/4″ thick baltic birch plywood, and they’ll be about 28″ diameter. I’d like to do as little manual cutting as possible, so if your cutter can handle 4′ x 4′ sheets of plywood, that would be fantastic….

    Thanks in advance!

    • admin says:

      Hi Rick,

The thickest material we have cut so far is generally around 1/2″ solid wood or acrylic. The thickness is less with plywood because it’s harder to cut through the glues. The table we use is 24″x48″ and people have broken their files into smaller pieces and put them together after the cutting. Thanks

My friend Kiyoshi recommended you guys and maybe you can help me. I make paper toys and I was wondering if they could be cut so they can be punched out instead of having to use an xacto, scissors, etc. I’m a greenhorn at this so I don’t know if I would have to print them for you? They would be on standard card stock. Thank you and sorry for my noobness.

    • admin says:

Hey no problem. We can definitely do that kind of work. The best is if you can send me a vector file like autocad or illustrator but I can generate a vector file from a hi-res black and white image as well. Email the file to or use the contact form on this page to upload the image. The I can get you a quote real quick. Thanks

I’m looking for somewhere to get some files’s a pretty small
job to begin with but I’m planning on making a lot more in a similar vein….
I should send you the AI file and material? (1/8 “) wood (various kinds)to get a quote?
Hoping to do business with you!

  12. Robert Thomas says:

Forgot to mention that I’ll be using 3/8″ wood or mdf.

    • admin says:

      Hi Robert,

We can definitely take care of that for you. Please send the file you want to use (illustrator or dwg) to along with the material and thickness you want to use and we can get you an estimate pretty quick. Thanks

I’d like to know if you are able to cut some wood panels for a project I’m working on. It involves 6 fairly simple pieces, all rounded rectangles with 4 of them missing their centers.
    Here are the measurements.
    2 panels-34″x20, 2 panels-13×15, 2 panels 8 1/2×11.
Would be greatful if you could get back to me ASAP, with pricing/time involved.

Would you be able to cut parts out of .064″ aluminum with 1mm holes? I’ll have to double check the size but I need tiny bolt holes either 1 or 1.5 mm.

  15. scott says:

i have two small abs switch panels with a 1/4 round radius along the perimeter. Would you be about to replicated them out of acrylic?

Also, I need some letters cut out of 1/8″ abs. The letters are not any standard font. can you work from a high res image of the work that i need cut?

    thank you,

  16. Paulina says:

I was wondering how much and how do you charge for laser cutting?

    • admin says:

      Hi Paulina,

The billing is based on two things:

1 The amount of cutting in the file you send me (dwg or illustrator file)

2 The type and thickness of material you want to cut

If you can send me those two things, I can get you an accurate quote usually in a few minutes.
